CARECARE NIGERIA REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL – CONSULTANCY FOR STUDY ON THE ROLE OF WOMEN AND GIRLS’ SAFE SPACE MODEL

Founded in 1945 with the creation of the CARE Package, CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. CARE places special focus on working alongside women and girls.

Equipped with the proper resources women and girls have the power to lift whole families and entire communities out of poverty. This year, CARE and partners worked in 111 countries implementing 1,600 poverty-fighting development and humanitarian aids projects and initiatives that reached 174,000,000 people. CARE Nigeria is registered with CAC and has signed an MOU with the Government of Nigeria to implement development and humanitarian relief assistance to affected populations in Nigeria. CARE Nigeria’s thematic area includes Food Nutrition Security and Livelihood, Women Economic Empowerment, Sexual Reproductive Health and rights and Gender-based Violence (GBV) and Protection activities.

Through funding from the Foreign, commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), CARE in partnership with Ekklesiyar Yan’Uwa A Nigeria (EYN), NEEM foundation and NIF (hosted by IMMAP), the program goal is to improve: Protection Intervention, Women-Led in Emergency and Sexual reproductive health and right, supported by their Humanitarian and Resilience Program (HARP). The project is being implemented in Borno (Jere and Bama), Adamawa (Yola north) and Yobe (Potiskum and Gujba). The product aims to strengthen the delivery of protection and resilience, and Sexual reproductive health and rights services and increase women’s voice and participation within the humanitarian response cycle through a coordinated, integrated and locally-led approach in North East Nigeria.

This is a call for a “Consultancy for Study on the Role of Women and Girls Safe Space Model on facilitating protection and empowerment outcomes for women and girls in the BAY states”
