1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has received a loan facility from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) through the NESI-SSL for execution of Capital Projects for Electricity Distribution in its licensed area of Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states to enhance the network capacity, reliability and efficiency.

1.2. KEDCO invites bids from eligible bidders on Single Stage Two Envelope (i.e., Envelope-I : Technical Bid and Envelope-II: Price Bid) basis for the projects (LOTS) listed here.

1.3. Interested bidders may download tender document of respective lots obtained from KEDCO official website https://www.kedco.ng. the bid Documents may also be obtained from KEDCO Head Office at No. 1. Niger Street (Post Office Road), Kano, 700231, on payment of the requisite tender document fee (Naira 100,000.00). 3.0 DOCUMENTS FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION (NIGERIAN COMPANIES ONLY)
(3.1) Suitable Nigerian Companies are invited to participate in the prequalification exercise by submitting the following pre-requisite requirements:
(3.1.1) Certificate of Incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria with forms C02 and C07.
(3.1.2) Company Profile, including, specifically,
(3.1.2.1) Populated organizational structure and key professional staff with relevant experience on high voltage power lines and substations.
(3.1.3) Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the past three Years valid till Dec. 2019
(3.1.4) Three years Company Audited Financial Statement for the period of 2018 – 2020 duly stamped by a registered Audit firm.
(3.1.5) PENCOM Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December 2021.
(3.1.6) Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Compliance Certificate Valid till 31st December 2021.
(3.1.7) Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December 2019.
(3.1.8) For Joint Venture Partnerships, the Joint Venture agreements must be signed by all the parties, a copy of which must be attached.
(3.1.9) A notarized affidavit disclosing whether or not any officer of the relevant Committee of KEDCO or TCN is a former or present Director/ Shareholder of has any pecuniary interest in the bidder and to confirm that all information presented in the bid are true and correct in all particulars.
(3.1.10) All Documents for Submission should be transmitted with Company covering letter bearing among others, Company Registration number (RC), Contact Address, Telephone Number (GSM Number), E-mail address.

(ii) Construction of 2x33kV feeder bays at Jericho 132/33kV Substation.

3. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS (NIGERIAN COMPANIES ONLY)
Suitable Nigerian Companies are invited to participate in the prequalification exercise by submitting the following pre-requisite requirements:

4. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The under listed qualification requirements applies to Applicants, including joint ventures
(a) Minimum average Annual Construction turnover over the past three (3) years as shown below;
– Two hundred and fifty Million Naira (NGN250, 000,000.00)
(b) The Applicant shall demonstrate that it has access to, or has available liquid assets, unencumbered real assets, lines of credit, and other financial means (independent of any contractual advance payment) sufficient to meet the construction cash flow requirements.
(c) Evidence of Experience of at least two (2) projects of similar nature and complexity completely executed in the last five years, including final Taking-Over Certificates from clients.
(d) Company Profile including:
• Populated organizational structure and key professional staff with relevant experience on high voltage power lines and substations.
(e) All equipment, materials and switchgear to be imported and used under the TCN/IBEDC must come from Manufacturers who have European Certification and or KEMA such that such can be shipped via Europe, and those from Americas, Japan should be pre-approved and accepted by us. Evidence of such Certification must be submitted along with the Prequalification Documents. Companies will not be allowed to change origin before and after submission of OEM.

5. SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS
One soft and two hard copies of the documents are to be submitted. The names and mailing addresses of the applicant Companies must be clearly marked on the envelope(s) bearing the submissions. All the information requested for pre-qualification must be provided in English Language by all applicants.
Failure to provide information/supporting documents that are essential for the evaluation of applicant’s qualifications, or to provide timely clarification or substantiation of the information supplied, may result in disqualification of the applicant.

(a) Minimum average Annual Construction turnover over the past three (3) years as shown below;
Two hundred and fifty Million Naira (NGN250, 000,000.00)
(b) The Applicant shall demonstrate that it has access to, or has available liquid assets, unencumbered real assets lines of credit, and other financial means (independent of any contractual advance payment) sufficient to meet the construction cash flow requirements
(c) Evidence of Experience of at least two (2) projects of similar nature and complexity completely executed in the last five years, including Completion and final Taking-Over Certificates from the Clients.
(d) Company Profile including:
• Populated organizational structure and key professional staff with relevant experience on high voltage power lines and substations.

SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS
One soft and two hard copies of the documents are to be submitted. The names and mailing addresses of the applicant Companies must be clearly marked on the envelope(s) bearing the submissions. All the information requested for pre-qualification must be provided in English Language by all applicants.

Failure to provide information/supporting documents that is essential for the evaluation of applicant’s qualifications, or to provide timely clarification or substantiation of the information supplied, may result in disqualification of the applicant.

i) Installation of 2x33kV Feeder bays at lhovbor 132/33kV Substation.

i) Replacement of faulty grounding on 1x40MVA, 132/33kV and
ii) Replacement of differential relay and surge Arrester on 1x40MVA transformer at Okada 132/33kV Substation

Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KAEDC) has received a CREDIT facility from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for Accelerated Transmission – Distribution Interface Projects to invest in the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN)’s rehabilitation and expansion projects.
