SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR CHANGE COMMUNICATION DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION CONSULTANCY
SIGHTSAVERS is searching for a suitably qualified candidate/agency to develop and implement appropriate Social Behaviour Change Communication strategies for the Inclusive Eye Health Project in selected Local Government Areas of Kogi State in a short time.
Introduction
Sightsavers is supporting the Kogi State government in implementing a Disability-Inclusive Development (DID) programme funded by UK Aid. The two-year project will pilot an inclusive health approach to improve quality and equity in access to eye care services for women and men with disabilities in Kogi State, Nigeria, in line with the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The project is currently being executed in Kogi State in two eye health centres – Kabba and Ankpa local government areas (LGAs) and two outreach centres – Okene and Idah LGAs. To reach this aim, the project will strengthen health systems to meet the appropriate health needs of people with disabilities, engage communities to provide appropriate interventions that will tackle the problem of stigma and discrimination and will strengthen awareness creation in channels that are appropriate for all groups of persons with disabilities.
