PSI DEPARTMENT: SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
PSI’s Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Department supports programs in 37 countries (and counting) to deliver high-quality family planning and safe abortion services to women and girls. Among the department’s current projects is Delivering Innovation in Self-Care (DISC)—a five-year intervention that is funded by the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) and jointly implemented by PSI and the Society for Family Health (SFH) – Nigeria. DISC aims to catalyze women’s self-injection of DMPA-SC contraception in Nigeria and Uganda, and more broadly to spark a self-care movement across healthcare systems in Sub-Saharan Africa.
