The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank towards the cost of the Jigawa State Integrated Rural Development Project and Intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services.

The services include, (i) Conducting survey and collect necessary information for technical design: (ii) Developing detailed technical design of the small-scale irrigation schemes in the selected priority sites, including technical design, drawing and report; (iii) Preparation of bidding documents for the construction of the small-scale irrigation schemes in the selected priority sites; (iv) Development of detailed supervision strategies for all construction works (v) Training and technical assistance for the operation and maintenance of all autonomous irrigation and drainage district (AIDD) areas. (vi) Development of detailed procedure for the land leasing arrangements to the individual or CRUAs/WUAs. (vii) Developments of a detailed catchment management plan for the control of erosion, pollution, floods and other possible risks associated with such projects. (viii) Qualitative and quantitative assessment of water resources in the project communities.

1.1 Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute is a Federal Government Parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development with Mandate into Post Harvest Storage Research of farm produce and animal products.

2. SCOPE OF PROJECT
2.1 The Institute intends to carry out procurement activities under the 2021 Budget Appropriation Act. The 2021 Capital Budget of the Institute covers operations in goods, works, and services respectively, and which requires the provision of Equipment; Fabrication; Facilities; rendering Research Services; Training; Empowerment; Value Addition; and also construction activities to be executed in the Headquarters and Zonal offices.
