1. Project Background

1.1. Rationale for the Project
Among AAH beneficiaries of the Food For Peace (FFP) programme in North of Nigeria, in Borno state, Pregnant & Lactating Women (PLW) who are identified as “vulnerable“ qualify for admission into the Porridge Mum programme. The nutritional status of their children is not an admission criteria for participating in Porridge Mum activities.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATION

The Cross River state Government (CRSG) in an effort to diversity her income and economy and above all, to reduce her dependence on federal allocation has decided to mark on major economic transformation and high social impact projects. However, the State Government is constrained by its resources and low revenue inflows from Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and Federal allocation.

Accordingly, deriving authority to the State’s Public Private Partnership Law No. 6 of 2010, Part 1, section 3 which deals with the process and modalities for PPP in Cross River State, the following 3no.major projects are therefore, placed under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement.

1. Calas Vegas Resort: This Greenfield project (“Calas Vegas Resort Project”) is located on a 3000 hectares Twin Island overlooking the Calabar Marina. The purpose is to encourage domestic tourism, by building the most beautiful and scenic city and resort for pleasure, business and entertainment, and to domesticate the industry spend.

2. Amunga Resort: This is a 47 hectares greenfield project (“Amunga Resort Project”), Located at the old Obudu province with a Switzerland mountainous setting and a lugano effect, the purpose is to provide ideal place for vacation for family and adults alike, cater for the most exclusive privacy and entertainment while also hosting other functions ,conferences and weddings.

The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) intends to implement Abuja Transmission Substations Project. A credit facility from the French Development Agency (AFD) was secured for the implementation of the project and TCN intends to apply part of the loan to engage a Consultant Management and Supervision of the Turnkey Supply and Installation of an Enterprise Asset Management/Enterprise Resource Planning (EAM/ERP) Information System, Associated Work Stations, Servers, Peripherals, and Network Equipment, User and Technical Training and Follow-on Technical Support Services.
