FHI 360
CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT GRANTS

BACKGROUND
Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (Epic)-a five-year (2019-2024) global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-is dedicated to achieving and maintaining HIV epidemic control. EpiC is led by FHI 360 with core partners Population Services International, Palladium, Right to Care, and Gobee Group.

Through the USAID-funded Epic project, PEPFAR has committed resources from the Key Populations Investment Fund (KPIF) to expand HIV programming for key populations (KPs) in Bayelsa and Niger states in to provide technical assistance to six local implementing partners in the two states. The goal of KPIF is to scale up innovative, evidence-based strategies to achieve epidemic control for KPs while supporting greater involvement of KP-led and KP-competent local organizations at the community and national levels.

This announcement is a call for expressions of interest (EOIs) from KP-led Nigerian civil society organizations (CSOs) and community-based organizations (CBOS) to join the Epic/Nigeria project, working in close collaboration with USAID/Nigeria, to implement interventions that address structural barriers that inhibit access of key populations to quality HIV prevention, care and treatment services for a one-year period beginning September 1, 2020. Through this competitive process, Epic/Nigeria intends to select and provide community engagement grants and technical assistance to Nigerian CSOs and CBO that meet the criteria outlined in this document.
