To provide Interpretation and Translation services in English, French and Portuguese to the GIZ Nigeria Office and its Programmes. Estimated annual turnover of expected service is over NGN40, 000,000.

Accordingly, GIZ invites interested and qualified service providers (Individual consultants) to express their interest by furnishing GIZ Nigeria Country Office with the following:
a. An official letter expressing interest
b. The service provider should possess a degree in a Foreign Language (English, French or Portuguese), Masters in a Foreign Language would be an added advantage (copy of certificate should be provided.

The INTERNATIONAL RESCUE COMMITTEE hereinafter referred to as “the IRC”, is a non-profit, humanitarian agency that provides relief, rehabilitation, protection, resettlement services, and advocacy for refugees, displaced persons and victims of oppression and violent conflict. The IRC has been operating in Nigeria in October 2012 in response to a widespread flood disaster. IRC emergency response team, with local partner CISCOPE (civil society coalition for poverty eradication), implemented a project to support livelihoods and improve WASH in kogi state from February to May 2013. This was followed by 3-month nutrition and food security program in the same location from October 2013 to January 2014. IRC has been supporting programming in Adamawa state since early 2014, and expanded into Borno and Yobe states. The current projects supports WASH, Nutrition, Health, Protection, Education, Economic Recovery and Development concerns among conflict-affected persons in north-eastern Nigeria.

The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has obtained a credit from the International Development Association-IDA/World Bank to be used in providing support to the Government of Nigeria towards reviving the process of Economic diversification through the mining sector.

The Ministry of Mines and Steel Development the implementing agency through the Mineral Sector Support for Economic Diversification (MinDiver) Project intends to apply part of the proceeds for eligible payments under the contract for the Engagement of a consultant to support the MMSD in analyzing and implementing a roadmap for economic corridor development, to which this request for expression of interest is issued

The objective of this Consulting Services (“the Services’) is to advise and assist the Federal Government of Nigeria in preparing and implementing a Roadmap to catalyse the mineral sector for regional economy development and economic diversification through integrated multi-regional development corridors The principle is to leverage Nigeria’s mineral resources to stimulate infrastructure development and develop sustainable enterprises providing goods and services.

Anex one in the terms of reference provides a detailed conceptual background on the proposed economic corridor development task, the proof of concept task, and the task to identify target prospective areas.

1. The Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of the Kano State Agricultural Development Project (KSADP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the procurement of Design and Supervision Consultant for the Development of 3,000ha Grazing Reserve at Dan-Soshiya.

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraphs, 1,23, and 1,24 of the Guideline for Procurement of Consultant Services under Islamic Development Bank Project Financing (the “Procurement Guidelines”) setting forth IsDB’s policy on conflict of interest.

The Services include Design and supervision for land preparation and fodder development and constructions of solar, perimeter fencing, veterinary clinic, nomadic school, mosque, mini market and construction of cattle earth dam.
