INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION AND TENDER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF YERIMA-GASSOL-DOMINION FARM ROAD IN GASSOL LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

The Government of Taraba State is desirous of constructing the Road from Yerima-Gassol-Dominion Farm. This is part of the fulfillment of her commitment to ensuring good road network in the State so as to enhance economic activities. The Government hereby invites interested, reputable and experienced Bidders to submit Technical Proposal for:

SCOPE OF WORKS
The scope of works for the Construction of the Yerima – Gassol – Dominion Farm Road shall include but not restricted to the following:
i. Site clearance and earthworks
ii. Construction of culverts and drainage
iii. Construction of concrete lined slope protection works and other appurtenances at critical areas.
iv. Other slope protection works where applicable and other ancillary works related to the project as shall be directed.
v. Excavation and disposal of unsuitable surplus materials
vi. Earthworks and transport, infill and cuts.
vii. 200mm sub-base course
viii. 150mm of laterite base-course
ix. 50mm Asphalt concrete wearing course on carriageway
x. 1-single coat surface dressing on shoulders
xi. Construction of concrete kerbs.

INVITATION FOR TECHNICAL PROPOSAL
In view of the above, the Government of Taraba State hereby invites competent, reputable and experienced bidders to submit Technical Proposal for the Construction of Yerima – Gassol – Dominion Farm Road in Gassol Local Government Area should submit their bids with the following information:
i. Certificate of Incorporation of firm in Nigeria.
ii. Company profile including key professional staff and their resumes.
iii. Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last 3 years.
iv. Evidence of having successfully carried out road construction work in the past (3) years (including title of the projects, client etc.)
v. Evidence of registration and payment of Pension and Social Security contribution.
vi. Current Audited Account for the last 3 years.
vii. Evidence of Registration with Industrial Training Fund (ITF)
viii. Evidence of financial capacity/reference letter from a Reputable Bank.
ix. Evidence of value Added Tax Registration and Remittance for the past Three (3) years.
x. List of plants/equipment with proof of ownership/lease (where applicable)
xi. Consultant must show Evidence of Registration with COREN and tract records of having handled projects of similar magnitude.
xii. Evidence of valid registration with MOW as a contractor.

BID DOCUMENTS
The bid documents will be made available from 12:00noon, on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, to prospective contractors and consultants on presentation of evidence of payment of N200, 000.00 for Bid Documents and non-refundable fee of N100,000.00 as processing fee to the office of the Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board Secretariat, Office of the Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Ministry of Works, Barde Way, Jalingo, Taraba State on or before Tuesday, June 22, 2021.

SUBMISSION
i. The Technical proposal and other supporting documents in respect of these bids shall be three copies in A4 format and spiral bound are to be submitted not later than 12 noon 22nd June 2021.
ii. All documents must be submitted in sealed envelope marked “Technical Proposal for the Construction of Yerima – Gassol-Dominion Farms Road” with their company name clearly indicated on the top left side of the envelopes and addressed: –

The Secretary,
Ministerial Tender Board Secretariat,
Office of Director, Planning Research and Statistics
Ministry of Works,
Barde Way, Jalingo, Taraba State.

GENERAL INFORMATION
i. Taraba State Government reserves the right to verify all claims by the contractor. The Government is not under any obligation to explain to any contractor for not qualifying and also not bound to choose the lowest bidder.
ii. Bid must be in English Language and signed by an official authorized by the bidder,
iii. Bids submitted after the deadline for submission would be returned un-opened.
iv. All cost will be borne by the bidders
v. All Pre-Qualified Bidders, while bids of un-successful bidders will be returned un-opened.
vi. Contractors who have worked for the Ministry before and have history of poor performance, abandoned or terminated should not apply.
