1. In furtherance of its programme aimed at boosting electricity supply in the country, the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), the Secretariat of the National Council on Privatization (NCP), invites Expressions of Interest from qualified firms (“the technical auditor (TA)”) to provide technical audits and to assess the current condition of equipment of the three Hydro Power Plants (HPPs) – Shiroro, Kainji and Jebba and Egbin Thermal Power Plants (TPPs), as well as validate compliance by the respective concessionaires with performance criteria in the concession contracts in line with their minimum performance target.

The Rivers State Government of Nigeria, with support from the African Development Bank (AFDB) is implementing the Urban Water sector Reform and Port-Harcourt Water Supply and Sanitation Project (UWSR&PHWSSP) as part of the Government’s overlay development strategy towards improving access to potable water supply and sanitation in Port-Harcourt and Obio-Akpor LGAs and had received financing towards the cost of Urban Water Sector Reform and Port-Harcourt Water Sanitation Project (UWSR/PHWSSP). The project intends to apply part of the agreed amount of the loan to payments under a contract for consultancy services for the preparation of Project Annual Environmental and Social Performance Audit for the project.

The consultancy, under the Strengthening Water, Sanitation and Hygiene project implemented by WaterAid and partners will also cover the review and printing of HBC tools both in Lagos and Abuja.
