BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT

SAVE THE CHILDREN is the world’s leading independent organization for children, delivering programs in over 120 countries to ensure all children survive, learn and are protected. Partnership is at the centre of save the children’s theory of change. We promote partnerships both as an approach to change and as a key ingredient in ensuring the success of other elements of our theory of change.

Save the children international (sci) has worked in Nigeria since 2001, and is a strong, recognised, and respected voice for children’s rights. Our programmes currently support health and nutritioneducationchild protection, food security, livelihoods and social protection in both developmental and humanitarian contexts. Sci has 10 field offices with presence in an additional 2 states. In recent years, save the children in nigeria has increased efforts at strengthening partnerships at community and national levels, striving towards more predictable forms of collaboration based on complementarity, to provide more effective, conceivable and consistent support to populations of concern, in particular children affected by conflicts and crisis.

Against this background, Save the children’s Nigeria country program is calling for applications from other international nongovernmental organizations (INGOS), national nongovernmental organizations (NNGOS) and community-based organizations and (cbos) with presence in northwest states. Interested organizations must demonstrate commitment and capacity to work at different levels to scale up current and prospective programs, in support of any of our broad strategic objectives listed below:

  1. Children have uninterrupted access to gender sensitive, quality, inclusive, basic education in a safe environment.
  2. Children do not die from infectious diseases, and have equitable access to priority health and nutrition services.
  3. Children, including those on the move or impacted by conflict, are protected from violence and exploitation with conflict sensitive interventions.
  4. Improved long-term food security for vulnerable households

ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION CRITERIA:

SUBMISSIONS IN RESPONSE TO THIS CALL ARE IN TWO CATEGORIES, FROM CBOS AND NNGOS/INGOS.

Category 1: Partnership with Community Based Organizations

Applications are expected from Community Development Associations, community Collations, Women Associations, and youth groups etc. To be eligible and consider for selection, CBOs applicants must meet the following criteria.

A.      Eligibility Criteria for Community Based Organizations

  • Must be based in the community or local government of operation
  • Members and leaders must be from the community or local government of operation
  • Must be registered with local and state government before 2018. CAC registration is not compulsory, it is an added advantage
  • Should have active bank account in the name of the organization

B.      Selection Criteria for Community Based Organizations.

  • Must have evidence of a leadership structure
  • Organization must be politically neutral
  • Must have evidence of regular meetings of members and leaders for at least two years
  • Must have basic financial records and books of account
  • Evidence of an independent bank account with signatories
  • Must demonstrate acceptance by community leaders and local Government
  • Satisfactory reference checks and SCI vetting system
  • Women lead group/association is an added advantage

The Federal Government of Nigeria has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Urban Water Sector Reform and Port Harcourt Water Supply & Sanitation project and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for the Preparation of Water Supply & Sanitation Master/Investment Plan in Bauchi, Delta, Ekiti, Kaduna, Kwara & Kogi States.

THE SCOPE OF SERVICES UNDER THE ASSIGNMENT INCLUDES:-
a. To develop a water supply and sanitation master plan that will detail the capital projects needed for the systems planning and expansion to meet the short, medium and long-term water supply and sanitation demand sufficient to serve the urban population of the 7 SWAs.
b. The Plan should be tailored towards achieving:
i. Universal access to safe drinking water (by 2028 or to be adjusted as appropriate);
ii. Universal basic sanitation (by 2030 or to be adjusted as appropriate);
c. The Plan should include strategies, and, subsequently, identification of priority programs and projects (for the short, medium and long-term); and
d. The Plan shall integrate the water supply, and sanitation sub-sectors into a single roadmap and provide the umbrella framework linking all other initiatives relating to the WSS, such as the National Water Supply and Sanitation policy (NWSSP).
The assignment is for six-month duration and will require but not limited to the following key experts: Water Supply and Resources Development Planning Specialist/Team Leader; principal Water Supply Specialist/Deputy Team Leader; Water Supply Specialist; Principal Sanitation Specialist; Sanitation Specialist; Financial/Economic Specialist; and Institutional Development Specialist.

ICAP is currently implementing the TMEC/RISE, TRACE and CQUIN projects funded by USAID, CDC and Bill and Melinda Gates in Nigeria and we are in the process of creating database of prequalified vendors and service providers under different lots for the new fiscal year.

This advert seeks to invite interested vendors/suppliers and service providers (including our current and previous suppliers) to submit a written response (“Response”) for the provision of the under listed services to ICAP Nigeria. The solicitation provides prospective vendors with the relevant operational and performance requirements. They will also be tasked to maintain a vigilant approach to ensure the safety and security of staff and project property always; by providing support to all staff in the areas of security management, security awareness, contingency planning and security emergencies
EOI-ICAP-TAS-03-21 Provision of Travel Agent Services The organization would provide booking of local and international travel ticked to ICAP staff, and be a reputable organization duly registered with Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and an IATA Member. The organization should be able to issue tickets on all Nigerian Airlines with no restrictions
EOI-ICAP-PS-04-21 Provision of Printing Services Bidders should be able to provide high quality full black & white and colour printing of books, brochure, booklets, leaflets, folders, letters heads, illustrations, posters, banners, envelopes, souvenirs etc.
EOI-ICAP-HS-05-21 Provision of Hotel Services Bidders must be hotels with proof of adequate security measures within and around its’ vicinity with good capability and financial strength to supply ICAP with hotel accommodation and conference/meeting facilities. Expressions are welcomed from hotels in all states of Nigeria with reference to the Abuja, Lagos, Niger, Plateau, Cross Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Kaduna, Katsina, Rivers Adamawa, Gombe, Anambra and Taraba States.
EOI-ICAP-CS-06-21 Provision of Catering Services Service providers that can demonstrate sufficient capacity and experience to provide caterings services for meetings and trainings. Expressions are welcomed from organizations from all states of Nigeria with reference to Abuja.
