The Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) has received funding from the International Development Association (IDA) to cover the cost of the Lake Chad Region Recovery and Development Project (PROLAC), and intend to use part of this Grant to make payments under the service contract of a consultant responsible for recruitment the of the project staff.

The services planned under this contract aim to make available to the Project Implementation Unit, a selection of candidates to fill the vacant positions below:
• One Specialist in ICT and Database
• One Specialist in Recovery, Reconstruction and Resilience One Specialist in Knowledge Management and Events; One Accounting Assistant;
• One Responsible for data entry;
• One drive

In this regard, the consultant will have to develop and share with the LCBC the methodology to be adopted at each stages of the recruitment process.

The total duration of the service will be for a period of 30 calendar days.

CONTINUATION OF SUSPENDED ADVERTISEMENT

The Nationwide Presidential broadcast on Sunday 29th March, 2020 directed the cessation of all movements in Lagos and the FCT for an initial period of 14days with effect from 11pm on Monday, 30th March, 2020 with all seaports in Lagos to remain operational during the period.

Prior to the directives the Agency placed advertisement in Guardian and Daily Trust 31st January, 2020 and the Federal Tenders Journal of Monday 10th January-Sunday 23rd February, 2020 but suspended the advert in line with the directive/guideline of the Bureau of public Procurement (BPP) which is the regulatory body of Public RATIO Procurement activities in Nigeria.

On 27th April, 2020 there was Nationwide Presidential broadcast dire measures in FCT, Lagos and resumed the continuation a gradual easing of lockdown an State from Monday 4th May, 2020, the Agency in line with the directives of its suspended advertisement and made another advertisement in This Day and Daily Trust 8th May, 2026 and the Federal Tenders journal of Monday 11th May-Sunday 24th May, 2020 which was again suspended Days to the expiration of the advert due to interstate movement restriction
